Cetirizine Tablet

• Cetirizine Tablet is used in the treatment of allergic conditions

If you experience any persistent or severe side effects, consult your doctor immediately.

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetirizine Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Cetirizine Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

  Alcohol:

  Cetirizine Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

• 
  Driving:

  Cetirizine Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

• 
  Kidney:

  Cetirizine Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetirizine Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

• 
  Liver:

  Cetirizine Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cetirizine Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

  Pregnancy:

  Cetirizine Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

  Breastfeeding:

  Cetirizine Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Larger doses or prolonged use of Cetirizine Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
