• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Defcort 6 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Defcort 6 Tablet with salad and vegetable diet.

• How Defcort Tablet works Defcort 6 Tablet is a corticosteroid. It increases the level of glucocorticoid in the body and works by decreasing the formation of substances that cause inflammation and suppresses immunity to stop self damage to the body by the immune system (auto-immune reactions occurring in organ transplants or cancer).

  Alcohol:

  It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Defcort 6 Tablet.

  Driving:

  Defcort 6 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

  Kidney:

  Defcort 6 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Defcort 6 Tablet is recommended.

  Liver:

  Defcort 6 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Defcort 6 Tablet is recommended.

• 
  Pregnancy:

  Defcort 6 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

  Breastfeeding:

  Defcort 6 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
