• Gemer 1 Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

  Alcohol:

  You are recommended to avoid consumption of alcohol with Gemer 1 Tablet as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis (accumulation of lactic acid in the body).

  Driving:

  Gemer 1 Tablet may decrease alertness in some people. Therefore, drive only if you are alert after taking Gemer 1 Tablet .

  Kidney:

  Take Gemer 1 Tablet with caution, especially if you have a history of Kidney diseases/conditions. The dose may be adjusted by your doctor as required.

  Liver:

  Take Gemer 1 Tablet with caution, especially if you have a history of Liver diseases/conditions. The dose may be adjusted by your doctor as required.

  Pregnancy:

  Gemer 1 Tablet is not recommended for pregnant women as it may harm the unborn baby. Please consult a doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.

  Breastfeeding:

  Avoid breastfeeding while taking Gemer 1 Tablet as it may be excreted in breastmilk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Therefore, please consult a doctor before using Gemer 1 Tablet if you are breastfeeding.
