• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glycomet 250 Tablet is to be taken with food.

• How Glycomet Tablet works Glycomet 250 Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication (biguanide). It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying the absorption of sugar (glucose) from the intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. In PCOS, Glycomet 250 Tablet improves insulin sensitivity, lowering insulin and androgen levels and restoring ovulation and menstrual regularity. Reducing insulin resistance helps manage acne, excess hair growth, weight, and diabetes risk, making it effective for both metabolic and reproductive symptoms.

  Alcohol:

  It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Glycomet 250 Tablet.

• 
  Driving:

  Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

• 
  Kidney:

  Glycomet 250 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Glycomet 250 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Glycomet 250 Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

• 
  Liver:

  Glycomet 250 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Glycomet 250 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

• 
  Pregnancy:

  Glycomet 250 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

• 
  Breastfeeding:

  Glycomet 250 Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
