How Grilinctus Syrup works.Ammonium chloride, chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, and guaifenesin, which relieve cough. Ammonium chloride and guaifenesin are expectorants that decrease the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and help in its removal from the airways. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough centre in the brain.
