Kofarest PD Drop

• Kofarest-PD Drop is used in the treatment of cough with mucus

• Kofarest-PD Drop does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child’s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Kofarest-PD Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Kofarest-PD Drop is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

  Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

  Driving:

  It is not known whether Kofarest-PD Drop alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

  Kidney:

  Kofarest-PD Drop is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Kofarest-PD Drop is recommended. However, prolonged use may impact kidney function in your child. Discuss with your child’s doctor thoroughly before giving the medicine. It is not recommended in children with severe kidney disease.

  Liver:

  Kofarest-PD Drop should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Kofarest-PD Drop may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Discuss with your child’s doctor thoroughly in case your child has a history of allergy (hypersensitivity) or any liver problem before giving Kofarest-PD Drop.

  Pregnancy:

  Kofarest-PD Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

  Breastfeeding:
