Lopox Tablet

• Lopox 2 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhoea
• It should not be used in patients with dysentery (diarrhea with blood)

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lopox 2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• How Lopox Tablet works Lopox 2mg Tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by slowing down the contraction of the intestines thereby decreasing the speed at which the contents pass through it. This allows more time for reabsorption of fluids and nutrients, making the stools more solid and less frequent.

  Alcohol:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

• 
  Driving:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

• 
  Kidney:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lopox 2mg Tablet is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

  Liver:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lopox 2mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  Pregnancy:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

  Breastfeeding:

  Lopox 2mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
