• How can I give Maxtra P Syrup to my child? Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Maxtra P Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• How Maxtra P Syrup works Maxtra P Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate, which relieves common cold symptoms. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Sodium citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

  Alcohol:

  Taking Maxtra P Syrup with alcohol can cause liver damage.

  Driving:

  Maxtra P Syrup may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

  Kidney:

  Maxtra P Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Maxtra P Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  Liver:

  Maxtra P Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Maxtra P Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  Pregnancy:

  Maxtra P Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
