• Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

• How Monocef-SB Injection works Monocef-SB 1g Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

  Alcohol:

  Consuming alcohol with Monocef-SB 1g Injection does not cause any harmful side effects.

• 
  Driving:

  Monocef-SB 1g Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

• 
  Kidney:

  There is limited information available on the use of Monocef-SB 1g Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

• 
  Liver:

  Monocef-SB 1g Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Monocef-SB 1g Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Dose adjustment of Monocef-SB 1g Injection is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

  Pregnancy:

  Monocef-SB 1g Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

• 
  Breastfeeding:

  Monocef-SB 1g Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
